Napoleon Hill liked to tell a story about his grandfather, a wagon builder who based in North Carolina. Each time the old man cleared his land for cultivation during planting seasons, He'd always leave a few oak trees in the middle of the field at the mercy of the elements, unsheltered by the other trees in the forest. Over time, the oaks grew strong enough to withstand the strong breezes an the fury of nature. They became tougher to bear even the heaviest of loads, so much that the wood from these oaks was used to make wheels for a wagon.

Eagles teach their young how to fly by pushing them out of the nest, and then swooping down to save them when they couldn't make it happen yet. This happens over and over again until they learn to flap and fly.

Welcome challenges and difficulties in life, because some of your greatest opportunities can only come from challenges that force you to expand your mind while searching for creative solutions. During life's darkest and bleakest hours, take solace in the fact that it could only make you stronger. And that through struggle, your bones and sinews are deeply rooted, firm, and prepared to take on even greater challenges in the future.
