No Place to Run
In Singapore the law is all of above. Everyone obey the law and respect each other. In year 2004, in Singapore host Tiger Cup 2004 and at Semi-final Singapore vs Myanmar (2nd Leg) at the match they fight each other because of unfair referee and after Extra Time. Singapore win Myanmar by 4-2. All the audience also fight after match. Those who involved in fight, they took police record and nothing happened. But when they need to renew their work pass or PR, cannot renew and they have to go back to Myanmar.
During August, September and October 2007 in Myanmar, Saffron Revolution happened so our nationality are also support from Singapore. Most of the Myanmar gather at city hall peninsula plaza for collected donations for all the monks and sharing lift let for alert. One of my friend was seriously involved and called me to join with him. I told him not to do and he refused and scold me that no ball. After the occasion, I did not see him awhile and I found out that he cannot go back to Myanmar and become wanted list in Myanmar. And he cannot stayed in Singapore and left to other country as refugee. This is what my friends happened to them and there still have many who we don’t know.
In Singapore Chinese population is about (75%), Malays (15.0%), and Indians (7.4%) and other. After 1965 to year 2005, Chinese population is growing rate is drop and Malays growing rate is increase. So government start to granted citizenship to keep their citizen population from shrinking. They want to maintain population ratio of Chinese and Malays. First one or two years they granted everyone, but they cannot meet their goals.
So they fine tune their policy and start to accept china nation only for increase Chinese population. And some of Indian, those who have high qualification and pay. For our country Myanmar citizen mostly they rejected for PR application for now a days. Last time if any one completed either NTC2 (ITE) or POLY, they offer to apply PR in Singapore. Because our Myanmar race are counted in the 'other' races category.
Now a days, our fellow citizen are suffering in Singapore, especially family who become PR in Singapore and staying as family. Some of them are husbands are PR, but wives and kids are not. Some husbands and wives are PR but their kids are not. So they have to pay all the expenses for foreigner price for education and medicals fees. And yearly renew dependence pass for each applicant $ 150 at immigration office.
Most of the kids cannot get into public school and face the problem to send back to our home country and become separated family. For international school to enrol was not possible for middle income people because of school fees is $36000 for year 1. And for the housing to buy PR Singapore, is become impossible to buy. Most of our fellow Myanmar are start to go back to our country because there is no security for our old age even for Singaporean as well.
Their warfare skim is too for those who smart people and even some Singaporean cannot get government grants. Not everyone like Government as usual around the word and there also some good works as well. Compare to our country government for last 50 years, they are good government. They have money and clever people to develop their country. Singapore make a lot of investment at around the wold and their passport can go most of the country in the world without visa.
Now in Singapore, everywhere have migrant and even don’t have room to survive for Singaporean. It is very comparative and busy country in the world. Country is beautiful as garden and people respect each other but lack of sympathy. Human right or international law are not apply for Asian country as usual because of so call Asian culture and yet like to show off as well.
