Lucid Dreaming
I wrote a short story yesterday that gained a lot of popularity and someone mentioned about trying to Lucid Dream.
And yes, I can lucid dream.
I'm not sure if it's something that you can 'will yourself' to do, but I've heard there are things you can do to encourage a lucid dream.
For those of you who don't know what lucid dreaming is, it's basically an 'awareness' while you are dreaming. It's like you know you are dreaming and in some cases you can manipulate your dreams.
For example, I have this really weird ability to walk through walls in my dream. It's pretty cool when you're in a dream-like situation which isn't nice. Just- disappear through a wall! It's pretty neat.
Another ability I can do while lucid dreaming is fly - albeit not very well, as something 'stops' me from going too high sometimes. It's like my mind is stopping me, it's weird to think about it like that, but that's the only way I can describe it - I think of Neo from The Matrix ("Open your mind Neo").
And lastly, because I have an awareness that I am dreaming, my dreams can shift as well as I can dictate how they plan out. My biggest one, because I am a huge motorhead, is that I always look out for 'super cars' and pretend it's mine. Getting in a Porsche, or a Lamborghini or something. Doesn't always work out that well, because my mind can't seem to fabricate the car out of thin air!
I also want to end this post with a warning! There are lots of warnings out there about attempting lucid dreaming yourself, some people fear that you can 'detatch' yourself from your physical body. I'm not sure how true this is, as I'm a little sceptic about it, but figured I'd warn you in case it is true! I am pretty spiritual.

Well deserved! :)
I love lucid dreaming! Ask me if you have any questions
I love lucid dreaming. The times it happens it's comes on its own naturally. I don't advice artificial stimulation
Same here! :D
I find it strange that some people have to 'force' it to happen. It's like it's 'Normal' for me.
(Hense the short story I wrote lol)
Interesting. I used to be able to control my dreams somewhat when I was a child pre 14 years old. I have not been able to do it since
I have heard there are certain 'conditions' that you need to be in. Maybe a relax state is one of them?
Mine comes and goes a lot depending on what's going on in my personal life at the time as well as the 'level' of Lucid dreaming. One day I might be able to fly right into the clouds were the next I can barely get three feet off the ground.
That makes sense. I enjoyed your post
Thank you @jetblake
