Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi was a Swiss educator. He also made a name for himself as a philosopher, politician and social reformer. He is also regarded as a forerunner of the so-called "Anschauungspädagogik" and the resulting reform pedagogy. His goal was the holistic education of the people in order to strengthen a cooperative and independent democratic social system.

Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi war ein Schweizer Pädagoge. Er machte auch als Philosoph, Politiker und Sozialreformer von sich reden. Er gilt auch als Vorläufer der sogenannten Anschauungspädagogik und der daraus entstandenen Reformpädagogik. Sein Ziel war die ganzheitliche Bildung des Volkes, um ein kooperatives und selbständiges demokratisches Sozialwesen zu stärken.
