Coca-Cola will change the design of diet coke amid falling sales
Coca-Cola announced the restart of the Diet Coke brand: the company will release four new tastes of diet coke and will introduce a new format for cans for the drink. Redesign will be the biggest change in the brand in 35 years, the company said.
Restarting the brand will begin in North America: beverages will appear on the market with the taste of lime, orange, mango and lemon in tall thin cans.
Coca-Cola is rebranding on the back of falling sales, notes Bloomberg. In 2017, the company's beverage sales fell by 4.3%. Despite this, Diet Coke remains the third most popular carbonated soft drink in the US.
According to the publication, consumption of carbonated sweet drinks in the US per capita in 2016 fell to a minimum level since 1985.
