Nikolai Dobronravov is 90 years old.

Their union with the composer, muse, wife Alexandra Pakhmutova gave many wonderful songs.

Then, about 50 years ago, many had the opportunity to travel on travel vouchers. Somehow, I remember, I went to rest in Zvenigorod, a small town in the suburbs.

From Moscow and Moscow we went by bus and always sang songs. Usually,
“The pilot over the taiga will find the exact course”, “Hope is my earthly compass” “The main thing, guys, do not grow old with my heart”….

In Zvenigorod, I had a rest in a youth camp: there were not only our Komsomol members, but, in particular, the wife of one of the leaders of the international student movement. She came from Chile with three children. She had a translator with her. We became friends, in my opinion, the photo was preserved.

Here is the time of the development of virgin soil. Construction of hydropower plants, the Baikal-Amur Mainline, even our Asino-Bely Yar railroad. We did not have spouses, but we visited other important construction sites, got vivid impressions, and wonderful songs were born as a result.

Not always everything was thought out. An employee of our editorial office told me when I was still working, that his acquaintance, who was romantic, participated in the construction of a hydroelectric power station, lived in tents in winter. This friend of his got stuck, lost the opportunity to have children, did not get married.

The construction of the Asino-Bely Yar road was announced by the Komsomol youth. The head of the construction headquarters told me that part of the builders in Odessa were collected for immoral behavior and sent to
Siberia.

Anyway, the songs fell in love and sang.

Nikolay Nikolaevich and Alexandra Nikolaevna were friends with astronauts. “Tenderness” is Yuri Alekseevich’s favorite song, and other cosmonauts loved her.

Nikolai Nikolayevich and Alexandra Nikolaevna have known each other since 1956. Since then, their love has helped write songs about people and for people.
