The Retail Supermarket in Vietnam
Hi everyone, today I'll talk about supermarket in Vietnam.
The retail market in Vietnam can be roughly divided into six types of modern distribution with specific characteristics, including hypermarkets, supermarkets, commercial centers, shopping centers, convenience stores and specialty supermarkets.
I won't talk about the conditions or history formation of each market type, I'll introduce a few characteristics and some famous name of market in Vietnam

In Vietnam, Big C is the only brand name of hypermarkets. Metro Cash & Carry stores give the impression of hypermarkets but are not. Metro’s clients are mostly industry and wholesalers while hypermarkets’ are final customers. Store of Big C almost in big cities and populous like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Da Nang, Da Lat, Nha Trang...
Some of the most famous supermarket names in Vietnam are: Intimex, Co.opmart, Lottemart, Maxximart, Citimart and AEON citimart... Supermarkets in Vietnam offer similar goods and services. Allmost offer member card, with which you earn points to get deduction on the next shopping and recieve gift in the end of year!

Department stores sell luxurious items like Parkson Plaza, Diamond Plaza, Vincom, Grand Plaza... the price at there make me only go in on black friday or big sale occasions.

Shopping malls are relatively new concept in Vietnam, which may include a hypermarket, a supermarket, a department store, a cinema and special stores in one place. Some of shopping malls in Vietnam: Lotte Mark, SC Vivo City, Nowzone, AEON Mall, Crescent Mall and most recently Van Hanh mall was built in HCM city

Convenience stores in Vietnam are more popular day by day. Because of convenience bring to customers so the number of customer rise high. This create a chances for many famous convenience store brand enter in Vietnam like 7eleven, Circle K, Family mart....
