RE: How you feel is your responsibility

in #life7 years ago

Actually, I never said we should ignore every problem because everything is okay and there's nothing to be done to improve the world.

I said that more people should learn how to control themselves, and to realize that while how we feel is not something we can control, how we act based on those feelings is something we have control over, and what we can control is what type of information we receive and consume, which will automatically dictate how we feel in general.

I also didn't mention serious problems like world hunger, diseases, poverty, climate change, and so on.

I mentioned "problems" that some entitled people have who consider themselves or the people who they relate to be better than others and who live under the impression that if they have a certain opinion, then everyone should have a similar one, otherwise the world is wrong.

I also mentioned "problems" that people who only want attention have.

I even gave examples: feminism, people criticizing others for their decisions, copyright abuses on YouTube, Twitch drama.

If you're not familiar with those topics, allow me to describe each of them (and what I meant by mentioning them) in a short way in order to explain exactly what I meant:

  1. Feminism - I don't mean the movement that is described by the definition of the word "feminism", but what the word means lately, which is related to angry and frustrated women who believe that all men are evil and rapists, that all women are being oppressed, that men are being paid more for the simple fact that they are men, and that women are being treated unfairly every moment of the day.

  2. People criticizing others for their decisions - this is a broad subject, but I meant mainly trivialities, like a someone criticizing another person for being vegan/non-vegan, someone else criticizing another person for playing a certain type of video game, for using a certain song, for talking in a certain way, or even accusing others of false things.

  3. Copyright abuses on YouTube - this is pretty self-explanatory. Copyright abuses on YouTube is a topic that won't go away anytime soon, and there's not much you, I or anyone can do at the present moment to change it, since it's not up to us, but to the platform and the people dictating how YouTube is working. There are reasons why the copyright system is the way it is, and changing it is not a good option as of right now, for several reasons.

  4. Twitch drama - where should I start? People criticizing "twitch thots", which are mainly women who stream while being dressed with revealing clothes in order to get more attention from people, others accusing other people of God knows what, other people being mad about someone saying something, etc. Nothing serious just boring drama created by people who probably want some attention.

Out of all the things I mentioned above or in the article, there's no "serious" problem that I said we should ignore. If you think those are serious subjects that need "fixing", then you're my guest in trying to convince crazy feminists that not all or most men are rapists, in trying to stop people from criticizing others, in trying to fix the copyright system on YouTube and in trying to eliminate twitch drama.

Sorry for the confusion and the long reply, but it seems like you didn't properly read the article, because I didn't advise anyone to ignore serious problems, I just advised people to ignore stupid and useless ones that only affect them emotionally without bringing anything valuable in their life.

Thank you for getting back to me and explaining your article. I can understand your point now and I agree, people need to stop criticizing others and blaming the wrong people people for their problems. This has been a tactic to conquer and divide us against each other. We have allowed ourselves to be controlled and manipulated and we each have a responsibility for this. Anger and hate will never get us to a better place, only understanding and connection, acceptance and respect. Any woman who hates any man is a sad and miserable person and vice versa. The infighting is getting us nowhere because we are not identifying our common agitators which is the global elite. I do not hate them, but I do not support them with what they are doing. They are misinformed and low-functioning. I appreciate your clarification on your topic.
