Hello Wonderful People!

Today I'm sharing a few photos which are not very pleasant but it's the actual scenario here.

Last month, I have visited my parents and In-laws. There's a lake near my in-law's house. The lake used to be flowing one but not anymore. We, humans, destroyed the natural source of water. The water was not drinkable for many years for pollution and waste but at least it was flowing a few years ago.

This picture just broke my heart. But to be honest it's actually a common scenario all over Bangladesh. People just throw away everything on the open space or on the water. They are not very concern about the environment and there's no strict law against it.

You may not imagine the scenario from other parts of the globe. This is hard to believe, no?

You can see some chickens are even walking over it. This much hard it became, full of garbage. I don't want to show you the substandard of my country but I could not resist myself.

Yeah, there are different initiatives that are working on this. But, you know, if we can't change our mentality, no action gonna change this.

I contracted a voluntary organization that is involved cleaning this lake and they are saying it will take years to clean the huge mess. They are cleaning one part and on the other part, people started to throw everything on the water again.

Our culture is quite different and it's actually very hard to fight against something like this alone and if you are doing it with a community it's also not easy. The government doesn't support every time, no one wants to take care of it, officials don't use the sectioned money, corruption and many more.

I don't know when the scenario will change. As I don't live there it's quite impossible for me to do anything for it.

I'm also quite afraid to say 'Let's hope for the best'. But we actually have to hope and do a little to change it, to help nature.
