Can i just start a slow clap here? Thank you! This is such a hot button topic. It is so good to see a reasonable point of view. I see people going crazy over this topic on facebook, well before i basically left facebook for steemit anyway. I'll be curious to see the reaction to this post.
Being caught in the middle of two choices where the people you love most in the world are at stake is horrific. Especially when the issue concerns trust in foundations of our societies. Our success as a species has allowed us to specialise, but that only works if the specialists do what they are supposed to do and act in the interest of everyone else. The horror around this subject understandably clouds everyone's judgement and makes us all very emotional.....but that's no excuse for forsaking those who have been damaged and continuing the charade. Everything about the vaccine system in its current form stinks. Now there is absolute evidence coming out all the time. If the trust is gone anywhere, with our children's lives at stake, that's it, the game is up. We have to start from scratch and make sure everything is done properly. It is diabolical on a scale that is difficult to comprehend.
Great point about specialization. It doesn't work out so well without integrity. What is frustrating to me on this issue, is the false science. People point to published studies as if they prove without a doubt that vaccines are safe. Even though there are peer reviewed studies and plenty of other evidence to suggest the opposite. It's hard to see people that I dearly love still trusting the state so much that they can't see how bad this issue really is.
I'm very with you on that one. It's very hard. But some of them start to get there and start to realise the challenge you've had living in the real world while they slumbered.
The most horrible thing for me is that all the people that are currently engaged in these abusive systems would not be there, would be doing something else and most likely, perfectly happily, if we had ensure that our systems worked in a different way. But I guess that what we are trying to deliver for the future :)
Thank to you guys @richardcrill, @canadian-coconut, @benjojo! You commentaries on Steemit about vaccines are so refreshing level headed and needed. I don't see this happening anywhere else. Keep them coming! They are badly needed. You guys have made so many logical statement that are totally absent from so many other supposedly rational people.
