Jalali pigeon.

Our most familiar rock pigeon is the Jalali pigeon. Its scientific name is Columba livia. It is usually gray in color with two black lines on its wings and a bright purple or green color on its neck. These are very intelligent and social birds. Since ancient times, people have been using them as messengers. Today, they can be seen roaming freely in both urban and rural areas. They especially like to build their nests on the cornices or high roofs of buildings. Grains and seeds are their main food. Known as a symbol of peace, these birds like to be close to humans and their flying skills are truly commendable.
