A Fly in My Tea: When Ancient Wisdom Manifested at Work ☕

in #lifelast month (edited)

Screenshot_152.png What's coding without coffee or tea? Especially on a hot day when you're spending hours behind the screen. But what if a fly lands right in your cup? Black and annoying.
I used to do what many people do – just pour it out. Who wants to drink after that? But one day I read a surprising hadith that changed my perspective on this situation.
Ancient Wisdom About the Fly
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"If a fly falls into your food, immerse it completely, for on one wing is disease and on the other is cure."
Sounds strange, right? But the meaning is this: by fully submerging the fly and then removing it, you can safely drink. The second wing of the fly has antiseptic properties that neutralize bacteria from the first wing. Important detail: if the fly managed to climb out and fly away on its own, it's better to pour out the drink. You don't know which wing it was flapping in your cup.
An Incredible Coincidence
One day during lunch break, my colleague and I were having tea at work. He asked me to tell him something interesting from Islamic texts. I remembered exactly this hadith about the fly and started explaining.
And imagine: right as I finished the story – literally hadn't closed my mouth yet – my colleague's eyes widened. He silently pointed at my cup. Oh my God! A fly had just landed in my tea! It was floundering in the middle.
I silently submerged it with a spoon, then removed it and... calmly finished my tea to the bottom.
We were both in shock. Me – because ancient knowledge manifested right here and now. My colleague, usually very talkative, didn't say a word until the end of the shift.
But I'm sure he understood: this was no coincidence. Sometimes the Creator gives us signs exactly when we talk about them.
P.S.Thanks @ilovecoding
