I've seen plenty of people trying to milk cents out of Steem and I have no idea if they know what to do with it. Mind you, I've seen some of them powering down. From the start I could see that this platform had great potential for those in poorer areas to earn something, but it should still be by legitimate means. So far the level of spam has been fairly low, but if millions more suddenly sign up that could all change. There are various groups trying to deal with abuse, but we may need something more in future if Steem is not going to go to shit.
