A few pictures of me racing in the Daryl Martin Racing Team's Lightning Sprint

I'm posting a few photo's a myself in the DMR teams Q96 Lightning Sprint back in 2014. I was asked to drive Daryl Martin's car after he had a accident in it 3 weeks prior, and injured himself. He told me he would rather be a car owner then a owner driver, and asked if I would race his teams car. Even though I hadn't raced in years. but had done testing for teams, whom asked me to find problems with their cars, or they were selling them and needed someone to drive it at 10/10th's around the track to show how the car was.

I only got to race the Daryl Martin Racing q96 Lighting Sprint for a few race meeting. due to the his personal issues. But here is some pictures of the car on the first race night.

This picture was taken as I was drivng round to grid up for the first race.

This is a action shot driving hard into the corner in the first heat race.

This shot was taken in the third heat which I was leading. As you can see the track was slick in the middle and I had set the racecar to run the highline on the track. Putting the right rear tire on the cushion.

This shot was also taken in the third heat. As I was leading I come up to another competitor and put him a lap down. He was running up high like I was most of the race, So to get past him I went down to the bottom on the track and as I was coming off the corner I hit a really tacky spot (clay with a lot of grip) and it caused the car to wheelstand. And yes I won the heat race.

If your wondering why type of engine is in the car, it is a 2004 kawasaki zzr12.

Thank you for reading my post. I love racing cars, But its more fun when you get to race other peoples cars. Because you don't have to pay for the bills. Maybe my posts will pay off, and I'll get my racecar out on the track and put Steemit on the car.
