"Don't Let The Fear Of Losing Be Greater Than The Excitement Of Winning." - Robert Kiyosaki *****

in #life8 years ago

With this beautiful quote, I will like to wish a lovely and fun weekend to all here in steemit.

However, I would like to improve on the quote by removing the double negative and using more positive language.

"Let the Excitement of Winning Be Greater Than the Fear of Losing!"

Now that you can see this example of correcting a very common writing mistake, hopefully, you will be more able to recognize it and use more positive language as well!

Today, I continue with my blog from yesterday about this successful gentleman, Henry Flager.

Henry Flager lived and worked hard to see his great vision become reality when the first passenger train finally pulled into Key West on January 22, 1912. At this time, Flagler was 82 years old!

Let him be a great example for us all, Flager was still active, ambitious and continuing to work hard at 82 years old!

With this example, I tell you never, never, give up!! :-)

The Over-Sea Railroad remains the most ambitious engineering feat ever undertaken by a human being in this century.

Completed in 2005, the 8,100 square foot Flager Kenan Pavilion was the first public Beaux-Arts style building erected in the United States in six decades.

Henry Flager's Railcar No.91 was built in 1886.

Flager and his wife loved music. This is the original work of art titled "The Drawing Room", which was used as a gathering place for music and conversation.

The Louis XVI style room is adorned with silk fabric and pale gray paneling for a light, feminine beautiful effect.

This mansion which Flagler named "Whitehall", was constructed on Brelsford Point in West Palm Beach, Florida!

Built in an astonishing 18 months, Whitehall was intended to be both a monumental example of high culture and high technology.

Flager chose Carrere and Hasting to design the impressive exterior of Whitehall as well as the interior plan and the marble entrance hall with its grand double staircase, which is where sadly he was injured in a fall and later passed away.

Ironically, he never liked elevators and preferred to use stairs. Unfortunately, his superstition and fear of elevators led to his fall. Don't let irrational fear cloud your judgment. He was a very old man, and he fell down the stairs when he should have used the elevator instead. This is a life lesson for us all, not to be fearful of technology, but to always be openminded and make safety the priority in our decisions.

The New York firm of Pottier and Stymus designed and executed the sumptuous interiors of the summer home, with period rooms in styles such as Louis XIV, Louis XV, Louis XVI, Italian Renaissance, and Francis I.

Like Henry Flager, we all should have a positive vision, a dream to have a successful life, career, and a healthy lifestyle. We should all work hard, be responsible and put forth as much effort to do our best, with humbleness and gratefulness in our heart.

Thank you for reading!! ;-)

Have a rainbow colors weekend!! :-)
