Gratitude.

Let's create a scenario. You wake up in the morning. Dang! You've got just 25 minutes to get yourself to work. You race through preparations manage to get yourself out of the house within 15 minutes. You look sloppy, you know. Now you're tasked with getting some means of transportation to your work place. You wish you had a car or could call an uber but you realize that you can barely even afford public transport much less a car. You sigh. Luckily, you get to work just on time. You see your boss and thank God that you escaped yet another.... You settle in and your boss gives you a zillion assignments to finish before the end of the day. You hate your job. The pay is miserly, much lower than you're supposed to get but you know that with the current situation in the country, you're even lucky you have a job. You wish you were in a better establishment, in a better position. Later in the day, you check your social media handles and see people you know, people you went to school with, living the life. You see the pictures of the expensive vacations they've gone on,you see pictures of the material possessions they have. You feel sad. You can barely make ends meet. You try your best, you know you do. But it seems like it's never good enough. You look at your life and sink into despair. There seems to be nothing to be thankful for. Going through life for you seems like swimming in a large ocean, with the waves crashing on you. You're exhausted.

But you know something, gratitude is extremely important. I have found out that it's one of the ways to positively align oneself with the universe and create a positive flow of energy into ones life. The law of attraction makes us know that we attract what we are. When you are thankful for the things you already have, you open up new channels for more good things to come into your life. What we focus on expands.

So, as we go into this new week, let us consciously channel our thoughts towards gratitude, appreciation and Thanksgiving. Try something this week. Start a gratitude Journal. Everyday, make a list of twenty things you're grateful for. I know that sometimes, it's extremely hard, but always radiate positive energy. You have the ability to dispel bad thoughts. When depressing thoughts come to your mind, counter them with very happy thoughts.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENERGY YOU BRING INTO YOUR SPACE.
