For me, generosity does not have to be demonstrated only when life is smiling.
From what I have been able to live in these years I have realized that precisely the people who have the least generous is. I'll give you an example from a short time ago.
Just one month ago Portugal suffered one of the worst fires in its history. The Spanish firefighters worked for 70hr next to the Portuguese firefighters. Well, apart from the generosity of the firemen, I want to emphasize the generosity of the poor people who, having lost their home and in many cases, family members in the fire, were able to offer what little food and water they had left for those firefighters who worked without break.When in Spain we complain if the firefighters take more than ten minutes or if they take days working to control the fire many people do not stop to criticize. Those poor people who lost everything and still are able to give everything they have, for me have been the real demonstration of generosity.
