To paraphrase the man in the context of my dream...
Let me not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my Steemian friends.
And so even though I face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the Steemit dream, of financial freedom to travel and blog and share with my followers, and upvoters my experiences...and to share in your experience.
I have a dream that one day this community will upvote and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all votes are created equal."

I have written many times that mine is a two year plan, and the plan was to feed my dream of exitting corporate life and steeming off into the country, blogging on my travels, the food fare and the history of our fair land. Build up a following, win the popular vote and this can indeed be so. I believed I was making progress… the plan was taking shape and progress was slow but sure…

But this can change at a moment’s notice, voters are fickle … or you miss a day or two of posting and suddenly your post earnings fall away … Or worst of all … the voting bot which you finally attracted…. Drops you like a rock!! Just when you believed you were a star !!

I am no longer sure this is a viable dream… and staying motivated and enthusiastic is challenging …. Do I change my tune….

I like your dream, I would also like to travel around the world and talk about it, but in our world everything is so impermanent
that was what I was working towards... we want to settle in Italy end of next year and travel...mainly Eastern Europe as I love the history.. but the votes cannot be counted on day to day to make this a viable proposition.
