Those complainers about characters reminded me of the actor Bruce Dern, they say he couldn't get work in hollywood for a long time because he shot John Wayne! They knew it was all an act but Dern was so good at being bad, then actually kilt the hero of the cowboy movie, the public wanted him out of the film industry, couldn't get over the actor's great acting.
Imagine what it was like for those bad guy wrestlers in the 80's. Many of them couldn't make public appearances. People would want to kill them.
