Are We All Trapped Inside a Video Game?
If you’ve follow this channel. You probably know that I’m pretty obsessed with everything to do with simulation theory. The possibilities surrounding the question are literally endless! Here’s a video that Paul Joseph Watson recently released discussing the topic.

long time logic and science student and science fiction fan here. i keep looking for any compelling evidence for this hypothesis and i keep finding a lot of baseless assertions. the most frequent of which goes like so, "it is possible therefore it is certain" it is an interesting idea but it is not even close to certain. bostrom's three options are not demonstrated to be supported by the evidence or even demonstrated to be conclusively the only options. this still doesn't look very different to me from descartes "evil demon" thought experiment, intelligent design or even creationism, except in this creationism we don't even get to be real, but only digital simulacra. it is intriguing because if true, the possibilities become endless and not even bound by the parameters of physical law, except for the parameters outside the simulation. if you come up with something that would make even an entertaining novel, let me know. i'm not done with this yet but i still don't see any convincing substance.
I think one of Bostrom’s three options -- the notion that we will somehow abstain from doing this for moral reasons, that’s absurd. We can’t even manage to get our corporations to follow a moral rules set. For example, I think it would be a great idea to apply Asimov’s three laws of robotics to the corporations, which could cause corporations to be less psycho-or-sociopathic in their actions. Yet that’ll never happen, and if it won’t happen for the corporation, it’ll never be applied to robotics either, at least not fully applied. The masters of warfare will give themselves a pass in order to remain dominant. The other two options seem like the only viable ones. We are without a doubt in my opinion headed down the road to create artificial environments that we can immerse ourselves into that will one day be able to stimulate all five senses. For example, currently there is a technology which uses ultrasonic waves to beam otherwise inaudible sound directly into people’s heads. If they can crack the algorithms to the other four senses they may be able to cause people to see, smell, taste, touch things that aren’t’ there. Add this stuff to your standard video game, along with artificial intelligence. I know AI doesn’t seem like much now, but it’s going to be huge in ways that will make us question allot of things. So I really do think it’s reasonable to conclude that we are headed there, and we will get there, so long as we don’t create, or succumb to an extinction level event. Also a question we should be asking ourselves is if reality is a simulation, are we players interfacing with it, or are we NPC? As far as compelling evidence goes, all I can do is point you to some things that have caught my eye. I don’t know if you’ll consider it to be evidence, however maybe it will open your mind to the possibility that we may indeed already be living in a simulation. Thank you for your comment!

Hound: Voice Search & Assistant
Hound makes me wonder just how far advanced SIRI and Cortana really are, and if it’s in Microsoft or Apple’s best interest to let us know how smart their AI is. Especially considering that Microsoft is mining the hell out of everyone’s data now. Also don't forget IBM's Watson. I think simulated emotion and character traits can and probably is being programmed into advanced AI that most people don't have privy too. There is a reason the big tech guru's are getting so psyched about AI, someone has most likely invented something very impressive.
