@valth blogs: Went on a Pentecost mini- vacation, but forgot my Posting Key at home + Guess the dog breed to win 5 SBD!

Some of you might have noticed that I’ve been absent from the Steem blockchain for the last 3 or 4 days, but don’t worry, I’m not dead, and neither have I abandoned Steem!

This weekend has been a kind of mini-vacation, since we have “celebrated” Pentecost. This is a pretty obscure holiday that no one really knows why we celebrate, but everyone loves getting an extended weekend, and it gave my family an opportunity to go on a small trip to visit our extended family for a few days.

I always bring my laptop when I’m going away, so that I can stay connected to everyone during this time, but this time around I ran into some trouble. After getting to where we were staying for a few days, I realized that I had not saved my Posting Key on the laptop, so I was unable to access my Steem account. This meant no posts or comments during the entire stay, so now I’m looking forward to getting back in touch with everyone.

I do realize now that I should probably not be as protective about my Posting Key, since no one could steal my coins even if they got their hands on it. However, it’s important to be very careful of your Active Key, because anyone can take all your Steem and SBD if they get their hands on it, so don’t keep that stored online, or without a password to protect it!

Let’s have a small giveaway

One of the reasons why we went on the mini-vacation was to also be able to go and visit the new puppy that we have been waiting on for a long time. She is 6 weeks old right now, so we will return to bring her home in two weeks from now.

I might have told some of you guys about the breed already, but I figured it would be fun to see if anyone could guess the breed by looking at the picture. And it’s been forever since I’ve hosted a giveaway.

So, guess the breed, and I will put everyone who guesses correctly on a list, and let a random number generator decide who will get 5 SBD. I will edit this post once it’s too late to enter, which will be 5 days from when the post was published.

It might be a little bit difficult to tell, but I'm sure some of you will guess it. I will not be giving away any tips, except for the fact that it is a purebred dog that is recognized by Fédération Cynologique Internationale (World Canine Organization).

How to enter

There are two ways to enter:

1. Post a comment below. The downside to this is that anyone can see what you have guessed.
2. Send an encrypted message to me – here’s a guide to doing that. This will cost you 0.001 SBD or Steem, but I can return the money to you if you ask for it. Doing it this way allow you to enter your guess without anyone seeing what you guessed.
