7 Truths You Will Face Growing Up
7 Truths You Will Face Growing Up
For some people, adulthood may come as a hard hit whereas others embraced it all, long before others due to their personalities, hardships in life or simply because they wanted it that way.
Either way, here are 7 truths that will leave you thinking about your life, open up a new 'vision' or act as a self-conscious change to be made in order to really become the best 'version' of yourself.
1. No one has the answer. You are going to spend a lot of time figuring things out.
- If you are still trying to find the 'holy-grail' of answers to your problems, stop right there. Not only you will waste time looking for the easy way, but you are also going to drag yourself down by demoralizing your own self. Whatever it may be, just focus, plan ahead 2 moves and start doing it. Everything will start sorting out once you start taking action.
2. It's harder to be kind than clever.
- Wisdom comes with experience, but often people become bitter and cynical facing challenges thrown at them by chasing their goals. Keeping an optimistic outlook on things while going through hard times only shows that you have a strong character and you are not dragged down by any problem that comes your way.
3. Time becomes more precious to you. You can never find time, you have to make it.
- This one goes hand-in-hand with the second truth above. It IS a good thing to focus on your goals and spend as much time as possible reaching them, but sometimes you gotta slow down and take control and not let personal gains get in the way of spending time with your family and friends. It's all about keeping a healthy balance between professional and personal stuff.
4. People are curious about what you do. But that doesn't mean they really care. So don't let other people's opinions guide your life.
- This one is pretty self-explanatory, especially the second sentence. Everyone is entitled to their personal opinion, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's the right one for you to listen to.
5. You will face rejections often. But that doesn't mean you are not good. Just everyone has their own place.
- You have to learn to deal with rejections, you can't make everyone happy or be a perfect person in every way possible just so you can please others'. A rejection means it is time to move on, re-evaluate your options.
6. Life is not a linear line but a pile of tangled threads. You may feel confused from time to time but that's okay.
- No matter how well you plan ahead and how solid your plan is, things sometimes simply don't go the way you expected them to go and that is ok, there's no one to blame; it's simply the way it is.
7. Everything will change. The earlier you master the art of letting go, the easier life is to you.
- Hanging out or simply being around a certain type of people will limit your potential greatly until you learn to let go of them and their toxicity and focus on yourself, it will be as a new breath of life for you, you will see things differently and more easy to accomplish without their toxic personalities bringing you down the path along with them.
And with that last paragraph, I will end my post, I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it and I hope it opens up new opportunities for you or changes your perspective on things.
Sometimes, things aren't as bad as we make them out to be in our mind :)
