'Hard Stones'

crta.png

Medieval architecture in Croatia bears witness to hard times. Hard stone was the only building material that was available and would last back then. Thanks to that fact, the buildings are still standing as if they were built a few years back.

Also, it is easily replaceable. We witnessed how easily Dubrovnik was fixed after the savage shelling in the last war a few years back. The broken stones are taken out of the structure and replaced by the similar ones.

This old Benedictine monastery on a little island testifies to that. Shows no signs of serious decay after centuries.

I think there is a structure missing from these posts. I imagine there was a wooden roof on top to shelter from the sun.

A detail above the door.

Enjoy your day! :)

@velimir hello 👋 sir Wow, It looks amazing your pictures. Because these pictures are found in Western cosmological patterns. In ancient times, many big buildings were built with hard stones. Many older old figurines were set up. Now and in many countries these hard stones make many things. But it is very difficult to get these hard stones as before. In the past, with hard stones, the king would have left some of their big buildings and left their mark. Now and with our India 🇮🇳 te hard stones there are many older older big buildings. Which today has become a tourism place. The best thing is, the statues of good design with hard stones. Good working things were made. Where are these pictures? Did you pick these pictures yourself?

What a beautiful place, it is very attractive, special to have a good time enjoying that beautiful view. You make us know many places through your trips and photographs, @velimir. that's excellent, I love it that way. Thank you.

With the arrival of cement and other materials, almost nobody builds with stones anymore, @velimir. Since prehistoric times this has been a material used to make the work last over the years. It seems incredible that as time goes on, man becomes more disposable. I think it's part of the mentality of this time. These photos are really amazing! It must be fascinating to travel and photograph the landscape. Hug

nice pic @velimir i like it this bike awesome😎😗
