Fish Eating
The plate of relish I had with my nshima for supper:
Ingredients
- Fresh fish
- Okra
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- Green pepper
- Soda
- Salt
- Cooking oil
- Knorr brown onion soup
- Knorr tomato soup
- Fresh fish
- Clean the fish then put on a colander to let the water drip off
- Put some cooking oil on a pan then sprinkle some salt on your fish and deep fry making sure it doesn't get crispy
- Okra
- Wash your okra and chop it up
- Put some water in a pot and bring to boil then add some sizable amount of soda
- Chop some tomatoes then add and let it boil for a few minutes
- Add your chopped okra and be sure not to allow it to spill over the pot
- After boiling for some time, add some salt to taste
- Keep watch and don't stir it up using a spoon or anything, just shake the pot whenever the okra is about to spill over
- This is to get the okra cooked intact as opposed to having it beaten and crushed up
- Gravy
- Put some oil in a pot and heat up
- Grate some very ripe tomatoes then put in the pot of oil
- Let it cook in the oil for a few minutes
- Then get knorr brown onion soup mixed with knorr tomato soup and add some bit of water, stir it up and add to the tomatoes cooking in the pot
- Let it boil for some time then when it's about to be ready, chop some onions and green pepper and add some salt to taste
- Don't over cook the onion and green pepper for that aroma...your soup is now ready so serve it together with fried fresh fish, okra and eat with nshima. Happy cooking everyone!!!
