Life's NO Secret #5 | Stir Fry Broccoli and Pork

IN THE KITCHEN, I'M THE CHEF

Both broccoli and pork are a favorite ingredient in my home. Maybe it's the color when both elements come together. As such, it only seems right to make this dish whenever I can. I hope to drop by the market tomorrow morning after dropping off the boys for their Saturday curriculum activities. I do have pork meat in the freezer; minced or whole so getting broccoli should not be a problem since it's always available in both the wet or dry market.

Let me share my own recipe for this dish

To marinade the pork meat:
1 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp chinese cooking wine
500g boneless lean pork meat

For the sauce:
1 tsp soya sauce
A pinch of salt
1 tsp chinese cooking wine
1 tbsp oyster sauce
A small bowl of water

For the stir-fry:
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp chopped small red onions
1 bouquet of broccoli ( it comes in a whole )
A few slices of red carrot ( for the added color )

The Steps:

1. For the marinade, mix everything together and leave it aside for 30 minutes
2. For the sauce, mix everything together and set aside.
3. For the stir-fry, heat the oil and add in all the ingredients. Once the fragrant from the garlic and onions is strong, add in the pork and stir-fry for about two to three minutes or until the meat color in no longer pink. Add in the broccoli and carrots and toss. Stir in the sauce and mix it well. Bring it to a simmer and cook over moderate heat for four to five minutes.

Best way to eat this dish is with a bowl of white rice. Now, that my recipe is set, the only thing to do is to prepare this dish tomorrow. After being injured on my left hand for a whole two weeks, I'm itching to start cooking and baking again. This is like my de-stress theraphy. Most definitely needed for this month.

Perhaps after tomorrow's cooking, I will be able to share a real photo of my dish. But, for now let's just enjoy what I could find from the big wide world of internet.
