For humans, clean water is the foundation of life, whereas contaminated water becomes a carrier of disease.

Diseases: Drinking polluted water leads to life-threatening diseases such as cholera, typhoid, dysentery, and Hepatitis A.

Skin and Eyes: If contaminated water is used for bathing or washing clothes, it increases the risk of skin ailments, itching, and eye infections (such as conjunctivitis).

Toxic Elements: When water containing mercury, lead, and arsenic—discharged from industries—enters the food chain, it can cause cancer and lead to nervous system failure.

Birds serve as vital indicators of the environment, and polluted water is rapidly depleting their populations.

Contaminated Diet: Birds often consume fish and insects from water bodies that are polluted. The toxic substances present within these prey animals damage the birds' internal organs.

Reduced Reproductive Capacity: Chemicals cause the shells of birds' eggs to become thin; consequently, the eggs break prematurely, preventing the chicks from hatching.

Oil Spills and Feathers: Oil spills in oceans and lakes cause birds' feathers to become matted and sticky. This not only renders them unable to fly but also destroys their ability to regulate their body temperature, often resulting in their death.
