Sea prayer is a little but powerful heart touching read I wouldn't really classify as a book, rather I'd say a poem/letter.

•SeaPrayer is NOT a novel, sorry to say because I've seen a few people eager to read this with the thought that its another work of fiction the writer.

Illustrated by Dan Williams, it is short, poignant; giving just as much sadness and regret as any of his other books he has written.

It's a letter written by a father, addressing it to his son the night before they flee from their own country racked by war.

This letter was inspired by the story of a three years old boy Alan Kurdi, whom was a Syrian refugee drowned in the Mediterranean sea during the attempt to flee so as to reach safety in Europe.

Khaled dedicated this book to thousands of refugees who had perished at the sea fleeing war.

The memories the father wrote about pierced through me deeply.
