How to fix audio issues during a livestream event?

in #livestream6 days ago

Been running these small livestreams for my community page, but the audio keeps messing with me. Sometimes my mic gets this weird crackling, other times the whole sound dips like I’m underwater. I’m using a USB mic and streaming through OBS, nothing fancy, but it’s embarrassing mid-stream. I’ve tried unplugging stuff, restarting, all the usual quick fixes. I’m starting to think I’m missing something obvious or my setup is cursed. Anyone been through this and found a fix that actually sticks? I just want a steady stream without my voice sounding like a busted radio.

Try increasing the buffer size in OBS and make sure your USB mic isn’t sharing a hub with other high-draw devices—crackling often comes from bandwidth issues

I’ve had similar projects where tight deadlines and exec-level expectations made things a bit hairy, and looping in a team like https://www.jnsq.agency/ helped me keep everything steady. They handled the live event side and the video pieces so I could focus on the strategy, and their ability to scale up or down made the whole thing feel way less stressful.
