London Eye

One of the biggest Ferris wheels in the whole world, the London eye located on the south side of the River Thames, London. It is also called, Millennium Wheel. There actually have been a couple of different names given to the Eye starting from the British Airways London Eye, to other names. However, as of 2015, the name was changed to the Coca-Cola London Eye because of the agreement in the year 2014 with the company.

The whole design is around 135 m tall with a circular diameter of 120 m. It became the world’s largest Ferris wheel back in the year 1999. There have been other bigger versions of the Ferris wheel in the world but the thing with the London Eye is that it is supported at only side by the A frame, and that is why it is also considered the world’s biggest cantilevered #wheel.
