On my flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong, there were few Chinese tours and all the them hanged a name badge over their neck. They joined the tour for visiting temples and praying. Among in the groups, there were Thai people getting on board slowly - one tall man standing behind the a chubby lady and a very old lady. They needed wheelchair to get to the seat so I remembered them well. Sometimes we needed to take special care of them. The tall man there is the assistant who carries the old lady if she needs help and translate for us. they just sat close to me during take off and landing. I could see that she looked at me all the time - with her lovely smile.

After landing, I was the one who assist them to leave the aircraft. The old lady barely can walk so I had to hold her hands and lead her to the door for getting the wheelchair. She smiled again and kept speaking Thai to me. The tall guy kept laughing when she was taking to me. Actually the old lady told me she is 93 years old already. She came here for visiting the temples in Kowloon for 4 days (Probably it's Kowloon City - It is also called little Thailand in Hong Kong). I'm impressed. How devout an old lady is that makes her take a flight (almost 3 hours flight to HK is not long for us but for her is another story- I saw her massage her knees from time to time when sitting at the tiny seat.)

At the end, I put her to wheelchair gently and she didn't let me go. She used her all strength to pull me to her side. She gave me a big hug and kiss my face. She held my hand tight and looked at me with her innocent eyes. That moment, what she did touch my heart deeply. I almost cried while she was waving at me and saying goodbye. Until now, I am still emotional when typing the words...I am happy I also can keep the kindness after working for 6 years in service industry, when I saw most of the crews don't care about how to take care passengers with special needs in the plane.

This is a good lesson for me - love unconditionally and show your love. I still can't practice it very well as my mind is full of ego and insecurity. I don't trust other easily especially when I get hurt once. Victim mode. To be honest, the smile and body language from this old lady I met gave me realization to learn how to be honest to myself and be sincere to others.. I hope she has a safe trip back to HK and stay healthy <3

Good health to the lady.

This is my blessing for her too <3

Thanks for sharing. I believe in Karma and your positive attitude in serving others will rewarded.

I believe in Karma too. It doesn't mean that doing good things then we can get the reward. It means we should never do bad things to harm people and our earth as we will come back to us eventually. We do everything from our heart and kindness :) Thank you for your comment btw <3 @diamondray

I was getting goosebumps reading your touching story, because I had experiences like this too and I had tears in my eyes just reading your story.

Moments like this do make us realize how to stay honest to ourselves and how to treat others with respect and love, no matter what we or others expect us to do or are doing.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful story with us @gladysmak
