I don't know much but I do know..

Few things in this strange life are quite like falling in love. It’s a jumbled, chaotic mess. The awkwardness, the newness, the terror, the excitement, the uncertainty, the jumping, the tumbling.. Pretty well spans the spectrum of human emotion. And if I know anything at all I know that heartbreak is as inevitable a milestone as meeting the Reaper himself.

Damn near three decades in and finally a few more puzzle pieces have fallen into place. There is so much to learn in both the falling and the breaking. I haven’t let myself tumble down that rabbit hole nearly enough; I’m late for a lot of lessons.
But here’s what I have learned - fall in love as many fucking times as humanly possible. Set your compass to “wander” and just go.

Explore.
Experience.
Embrace.
Elevate.

You’re going to meet two kinds of people along the way: The ones that open like a beloved book and the ones that are caged up deeper than the White Lotus prisons. Sit your ass down and read. Hunker down and quietly pick some locks. Learn when it’s time to move on - there’s only so much you can learn and teach one person.
Collect insight from every broken heart you encounter. Listen to their song and appreciate their struggle. And don’t be fucking stingy; weave your own threads into the tapestries of the strangers on your way. Become part of a hundred stories.

And fall in love. Fall in love with ideas and magic and people and love itself. Let it permeate you to the very core. Let it fill you with butterflies and light. Most importantly, let it fill you to overflowing and then give it away.

And when the inevitable comes creepin’ up embrace that, too. When you feel the cracks start to form and know you’re about to add some scars to your collection sit in that space and learn. Reflect on the steps that brought you to that battle. Revise your war tactic. Then get back up, spin that compass rose.. And move the fuck on.
