BESTIE OR SIDE-CHICK?

Nathan and Nicole have been in an amazing and almost perfect relationship for about three and a half years,their relationship was admired by all including Judith.

Judith is Nathan's childhood friend,more like they've known each other from day one and they've built such a strong bond that everyone thought they were dating. Most times,Judith's mum,Mrs. Bankole will tease her with that and she always tried explaining how platonic her relationship with Nathan is but her talks were invalid-as no one has ever really accepted,in the first instance,that they were in a relationship until later (a typical naija babe thing).

When Nathan hadn't meet with Nicole,he had more than enough time for Judith,even when Judith finally fell in love with Tobi,Nathan was always there for Judith,encouraging and giving her tips about men that will help her relationship.

Mr. and Mrs.Adenuga (Nathan's parent) had organised a party to celebrate their marriage anniversary. Judith and her family were invited as well as other families in Ajao estate.
In the eve of the set day, Judith and her family had arrived to help put things in order. At about some minutes past 7pm,the party began,guest were trooping in and to welcome each guest was the only son of the celebrants-Nathan.

Nicole had just returned from the spa when her mum reminded her of how late they will be for the party,if they don't leave the next minute. She immediately got dressed and they all left as a family for the party.
On their arrival,Nathan welcomed them just as he did others but was lost in his gaze at Nicole (love at first sight) - Nicole looked her very best. He started a conversation which was completeted later on at the peak of the event. The conversation led to exchange of numbers and several dates....

Now Judith & Nathan were even (they both had their lovers). Nicole was pleasantly introduced to Judith and they did get along until her 'feminine instinct' were activated. Her instincts were aided by the happenings in her relationship, she observed that each time she was with Nathan,Judith will call and ask for one favour or the other which will cause Nathan to leave,if not instantly but much later. She also observed that the day she disagreed to his excuse of going to help Judith,it became a problem-Judith will be so furious that Nathan will have to beg for weeks to calm her down.

Nicole noticed the unusual affinity between Nathan & Judith but each time she talked about it with Nathan,he kept reassuring her that the relationship was platonic and that things were that way because Judith had no other friend except him. Nicole decided to be calm and not nag about it any longer.

Just as always,Judith called Nathan,this time she sounded like she was dying. Nathan without wasting much time left for her apartment. On getting there,Judith was ok - this time she had gathered enough courage to tell Nathan how she feels about him and while at it she also told him how badly Tobi has been treating her. Nathan offered her his shoulder to cry on and that was it...Judith won the jackpot.

Nathan returned to Nicole feeling guilty but did not say a word of what transpired back there. The guilty pleasure,perhaps awakened Nathan's love for Judith,he spent more time with Judith than with Nicole. When he finally sees Nicole,he would be chatting with Judith-this made Nicole to take the bold step of getting answers anyway possible.

While Nathan was asleep,Nicole went through his phone,there she got more than she asked for....it was all out there. Her heart was torn to bits when she read the chat Judith sent describing her sexual experience with Nathan and how she wanted more of it. Nicole broke down in tears ,she cried till it was morning. Nathan woke up and saw her crying,he asked why she was crying and she told him. In his reply,he said;

         I love you but I love Judith more.
         I just didn't realise how much I loved her,
         I'm more convinced she is my better half.
         I'm sorry,we can't go further with this,
         It's best we go out separate ways.

We all can predict the fate of Nicole.

PIECE OF ADVICE:
Guys with female besties as well as ladies with male besties,before searching for love else where,search within your besties first,that way you won't hurt anyone in the process.
If you insist on getting love elsewhere,be ready to make your girlfriend/boyfriend your bestie-to erase the topic of cheating with the BESTIE...
