Fatal relationship
Sameer was running through that dense forest. He could feel his clothes as well as skin getting torn by the branches. But he didn’t care. He was running as fast he could. He didn’t even try to look back and waste time.
He saw a source of light in that gloomy dark forest. He knew he had to follow it. As soon as he started running towards it, a restraining force pulled his legs; he fell on the ground. But he got up and panicked to see what was behind. An enigma if you will.
A lady dressed black from top to bottom, her hair in non braided style were covering her eyes and some black waves were either entering or leaving her body. She said in a low pitched voice, “Please don’t leave me here”. Sameer turned his face towards that source of light and started running again. This time he would not stop, no matter how bad the conditions maybe.
Sameer woke up confused to his 6am alarm with a pounding heart, as if it will explode any moment. He took a deep breath and calmed himself down. “Maybe, this means something; how can I dream the same for two weeks in a row. I really want to see what’s at the end. What’s that source of light. Who is that mysterious woman who is stopping me.”
Brushing all the thoughts aside, he started getting ready for office. That day was special. He wore his favorite t-shirt and trousers, even the mirror said he had an amazing smile that day.
Office was boring as always. But he was going to meet Meera for coffee after office. Meera and Sameer met in a metro, where she had helped him with some luggage. It had turned out, they worked at the adjacent offices. They started talking and found that they shared many common interests. They wanted to understand each other better. But one thing was clear.
Sameer was already in a relationship and Meera didn’t want any. So, no questions were to be asked. But there was a problem. Sameer’s girlfriend, Aanchal was a mysterious woman. She would not let Sameer talk to anyone, she would throw anything that she found on him.
That day Aanchal saw Sameer with Meera, that day she threatened to kill herself. Sameer took things in control and decided to be calm.
Next day he heard the news that a girl named Meera who worked in the next building was in coma after she met an accident. Sameer was devastated at this news. He decided to go meet her.
A mistake.
That night, Aanchal was seated in her sofa with a knife in hand, and said “Please don’t leave me”. A chill ran down his spine. It was as if his dream had come to life.
That night, after the fights and arguments they settled. Sameer truly loved her. But what about the venom inside her? She was toxic to him and he knew it.
That night he dreamt the same but this time the source of light was fading slowly. He tried but was not able to catch it. And was lost in that dense forest.
Next morning he knew what this was all about. Meera was the source of light, who brought hope into his life, his relationship. Aanchal was that mysterious woman. Black waves were the toxins that emanated through her all the time. And he was the one who was with her. His skin getting torn off was sign of his suffering. He was not able to catch the light. Meera.
He knew he had to end his relationship. But how?
Slowly, he tried to remove the poison out of his life, while Meera recovered. It was a great source of shock for Aanchal. But she was able to understand. Sameer knew how to handle her. Yes, it took time; but that time was needed to heal her. He was able to brush her aside for the new life that was waiting.
Meera proved to be a source of guidance through that venom.
Maybe we need a right time to figure out where we went wrong and where that love turned into a toxic relationship.
