A day in the life of a Crohn's Chick part 1: Chronic Health Warriors

Hello Everyone!

Today's post begins the blog series 'A day in the life of a Crohn's Chick' and I will post under this Title every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday in relation to my YouTube channel and my release of videos.

In these posts, I'd like to chat about my chronic health story, leave links to the video of that day and to have a little fun as well! To get me started for this post, here is a meme :)

Like, HOLY MOTHER FRIDGE MAGNETS! That is insane... but also kinda true at the same time, unfortunately.
When dealing with chronic illness, either mental or physical, it can be very hard sometimes to be able to explain how you are feeling and what is going on in your body. Cause, believe me, half the time, we have no idea what is going on either! You just have to manage as best as you can with the information at your disposal, and being connected to a community of other chronic health sufferers is sooooo important!

Here's Why:
No one else on this earth, not your family, friends, doctors or even your specialist knows you and your disease better than you do. They can study for years and quantify it all down to a scientific explanation, but you're the one who has to live and breath it every single day. Now, to better understand your disease and how to manage it, you do need your doctor and specialists to guide you and to give you the access you need to treatments. And you definitely need your friends and family to help support you in the dark times when your illnesses feel like they are winning and bringing you down.

But some of the best support you will ever receive will be from another chronic health sufferer. That's just the truth, and that is exactly why I started my channel on YouTube and have now branched out on to multiple platforms. This is not only to help others to become a part of a powerful community of chronic health warriors, but this also helps me to better manage my health and to find support for my bad days too.

I have also created a new tag for my social media that you may have noticed is on all of my posts: #loveyourguts. I am also beginning to use it on here as a tag for these posts and it is my hope to create a new chronic health community on steemit that can use this tag to become connected to others like us. Let me know what you think :)

Below is today's video. It's about how I am not a doctor or medical professional (cause apparently I need to stipulate that when I receive messages from people asking me to diagnose them!!) And tomorrow's post will feature the next section of my book so check it out!

As always, #loveyourguts and I'll see you tomorrow xx
