How to build a live News Feed and contribute to a Crypto-News Powerhouse - Mainsteem Media is here!
The crypto-economy is moving way too quickly for any one person to keep on top of. I have tried and it has almost killed me. Fortunately I have figured out a better way, so I can finally get back to what I love most, bodybarding. Please check out my article and welcome the bodyboarders of the world as they arrive on Steemit.com.
Bodyboarders are very loyal to those that support our struggling sport. Much as we at Steemit.com are currently little brother to Facebook. So to is the sport of bodyboarding little brother to stand up surfing. You will get followers if you leave a comment on this article supporting bodyboarding and welcoming bodyboarders to the Steemit.com community. @tys666 is already here. If you can handle some pretty extreme views and language. Please follow him because the guy is hilarious and a real talent in our sport.
I quickly figured out that by looking for interesting articles on the subject I was primarily focused on (investing in the crypto economy) I could quickly build a "live news feed" with opinions and information flooding in from all over the world. Positioning me and my followers @beachbuminvestor, very well to make good long term returns in a highly volatile, but highly profitable emerging market.

I started by finding this article written by one of my favourite economic journalists @financialcritic (screenshot above).
An excellent article with some great advice. Now this is where I need your help. I've always been strong with research and financial markets. And even though that has allowed me to have a better understanding that the average person on blockchain tech, I am still an idiot when it comes to actually using computers.
Do you have any idea how long these articles are taking me to write, lol? Someone should put out an "idiot's guide" to using Steemit. I'd give it a read for sure! Anyway I have read positive and negative feelings towards people who "Resteem", but I think this is important information for my followers to read. Should I resteem this article? Please leave your comments.
I found a simple comment attached to the article which said "Everybody should read this!" left by @violator, who I am now following. These quick and simple tips don't cross over with my own writing style, but are invaluable "research indicators" by a guy who has picked up at least one great article and probably more (I haven't checked who else @violator is following yet). A smart follow to build my Crypto "Live News Feed".
The comment was simple, elegant, and very true, and as previously explained should not be undervalued because what it lacks in explanation, it more than compensates for in speed. Anyone who was following me was probably going to appreciate a more in depth review, and an idea to consider going forward. It is also fair to assume that others who are using @violator as a "research indicator" will also be looking for more in-depth analysis of the the crypto-economy.
I expanded on this comment in my own style with the usual perennial stream of unadulterated piffle that by now my followers used to. And through the ashes of my rambling an idea was born. " What if we could work together to create the most powerful crypto-economy reporting centre in the world?" Main stream media are so far behind the "Mainsteem Media" within the emerging crypto-economy. And with a platform like Steemit we can actually challenge the big media companies for followers in this space.
Anyone who agrees with me, and would like to start contributing articles to this proposed news powerhouse, please start by using "mainsteemmedia" as your first tag. Anyone who does this will be among the earliest (and no doubt most profitable) contributors to a news revolution.
The distribution of "real" information will no longer be under the control of "professional" journalists. Unfortunately their research is often distorted, and their words lose meaning though nonsensical cuts, and clumsy fumbling of their information poetry by editors trying to increase advertising space (and revenue) for the Rupert Murdoch's of the world.
This mutilation of the written word, is not only killing of our ability to communicate as a society (when was the last time you actually understood a text you received from anyone under the age of 18?) but has turned journalism into a quest for profit, instead of a search for the truth. At the end of the day, isn't that what the news is supposed to be bringing us "the truth?"
If enough of us start using the tag mainsteemmedia we could potentially ask for our own little tab thingy (like I said computers are not by thing). This would further increase awareness of this term, and accelerate it's adoption as a "buzz word" increasing the marketability of the Steemit.com platform, and the greater Steemit community.
I'd love to see some logo designs for MSM from any budding graphic designers out there. Post them in the comments and have a chance to accelerate your career if mainsteemmedia takes off. As with my trading tips, I can never make any promises, I don't know for sure this will work. All I'm offering you is an idea to consider. Start using mainsteemmedia as your first tag. What have you got to lose?
Many of you who have been following me will have probably realise I base my life around a brilliant but largely ignored mathematical principal developed by John Nash. The guy best know in Australia as " isn't that the bloke Russell Crowe plays in A Beautiful mind?" Yes that's the bloke. Often overlooked, is the brilliant maths which made "A beautiful Mind" possible and even gave us the formula of a better way forward.
You'll all remember the scene at the pub with Nash and "the boys" at the bar when "the chicks" walk in. (Aussie slang, no sexism intended) The boys all start peacocking, trying to position themselves to be the ONE person who picks up by jaggin the hotty. What Nash realised is that if the boys worked together ignoring the 10, they could all jag an 8, giving the boys a collective pick up score of 40/50 instead of 10/50. And they'd all be going home with a root! (Nash's beautiful theory explained ever so crudely, in Aussie lingo).
A great story but unfortunately the moral of the story is being lost in the bright lights of Hollywood. It is mathematically prove able that we are better of to do what's best for oneself AND the group.
I am proposing a new way of news. We have a huge resource of crypto experts well positioned to be paid for contributing to, and validating, what can be very profitable and therefore valuable news. Together, we can position ourselves to be teaching the so called "smart money" that is about to come into our space, and getting paid well for it. Oh, and just for the record, we might still be collectively learning. But the "smart money" is still trying to go it alone. This is a chess game and your 3 moves behind.... Checkmate is coming!
My point is: by creating a group of journalists willing to stay on top of this crazy market we can actually increase our collective knowledge (for us and our followers) and by concentrating on only 1 or 2 crypto's each, we can actually go back to regular sleep patterns (lol), while still earning well for the effort we are putting in. (I call Encrygen btw).
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this idea, but more that anything I want to see mainsteemmedia as a trending tag. I think it would be good for the overall promotion and wider adoption of the platform we know and love. Steemit.com
