TeeSpring Frequently Ask Questions (FAQ)

1. My FB ad is getting a lot of likes/shares/clicks but I’m not selling anything. Why?”
The most common responses are:
- You’re not targeting the right people.
- Your design is bad.
- You’re not spending enough.
Here’s the truth. Quite often, none of those are the correct answer. Many of the things I see on shirts are funny but funny doesn’t always means sales. When a person is liking/sharing your ad, more than likely it’s because of the message. Shirts are communication tools. There many things you would say in private to friends that you wouldn’t say in public. When you wear a shirt, more than likely you are in public.
In short, people might agree with the shirt’s content so they like/share it. They aren’t liking/sharing because they want to buy it.
So, how do you fix that? Start by not just creating shirts based off of every funny thing you see. Ask yourself, “would someone want to say/communicate this idea in public?” Be objective when you answer yourself. You might save yourself a lot of money.

2. Can I use Youtube Logo or any copyrighted materials?
You can’t use logos like YouTube or Twitch either. You need to find things that aren’t anyone else’s intellectual property. That means — they have to be your own ideas.
You will either need to raise your game a lot on design, or partner with a designer, or buy designs (eg from Upwork or Fiverr). The problem with buying designs is that unless you know you’ve got a niche that will work, you’re spending money upfront.
