I have been reading about the environmental impact. Keeping in mind I bought the computer for VR, what I am effectively doing is extending the amount of time the machine is working hard. Canada is fortunate to use a lot of more sustainable power generation, as well as some really yucky ones. I am not against oil and gas, I live in Alberta after all, but coal is a problem. Is it worse than gold? No. Worse than investing in stocks? Only if you go for a basket of eco-friendly stock :)
Interesting to think about.
