SLC26-W5 | Alfajores
Another way of taking part in the learning challenge contest, I have not done this dough before and I enjoy this learning challenge because the teachers involved make sure they bring in something that must users have not done it before and on no account are they repeating courses, so this make this learning to be unique and interesting for users to take part.
So for me this week I went to the market after studying the teacher course I was motivated to give it a try even though it's my first time I never know how it will turn out but I really know that I'm gonna do this.
So to begin we already learnt that while making dough for baking we would always allow the dry ingredients to go in together that is mixed them together and the wet ingredient is also mixed together and then everything is combined to make it dough.

Egg, vanilla added and whisk till smooth and has a whitish colour.

All the dry ingredients added together.
Wheat flour, corn flour, baking powder and cinnamon added together as seen in the image.
It's now mixed together

The dry ingredients is now added gradually and stir gently and consistently for it to be properly mixed.
Dry ingredients added gradually
Dough is ready properly mixed

Using a rolling pin I roll the dough with a nylon bag covered on it
Then a round cutter, I cut the dough into circle shapes as seen in the image.

I grease my pan using butter then I place the cut dough getting it ready to be baked.
I then placed it in the oven to be baked.
When you tried the alfajores, what was your experience like? Did you like them? Explain your answer in detail.
Actually, it was my first time trying out alfajores, I never did it before and I was really amazed by the outcome.
I was really nervous how it's going to turn out, if it's going to have a whitish surface or will if it going to turn out to be brownish. I was so nervous and so I was very very careful of following the step by step guide and even setting the degree of my oven to a point that was being taught so as to be the same as seen.
Let's talk about the taste, It was really nice everyone in the house enjoyed it. I like the fact that the cinnamon really give it that unique flavour.
What has been your favorite hands-on challenge?
I really enjoyed how crunchy this was, the preparation was unique and it is something that is not common over here something anyone could even think of. So this makes it an exceptional snacks that one could think of in a party or at home so I have even added it to my meal plan so I'll be preparing it for my daughter and the dad because the love it so much.
Thank you for going through my post, I will like @marito74 @blessedlife @terelife to take part in this contest.
Hello 😃 Your alfajores look delicious. They're cookies that melt in your mouth, and it's worth baking a lot of them because they're addictive.
Thanks for the invitation, but I'm already participating 😅.
Yes that's true, it is really nice and I love the melting in the mouth
