The Egyptian Spice Market.1.

This is from a visit to one of the more famous markets in Istanbul, the Spice bazaar. It's only a short walk from the Grand Bazaar and has a whole host of tongue sizzling gastronomic goodness. In full, the market is called the Eminonu Egyptian Bazaar.

The reason it is named as such is that most of the spices come from India and South East Asia to Egypt and then from there, they are imported to Istanbul via the Mediterranean Sea.
