Showing You The Farmers Market That We Have In Our Town

Today, we decided to get off the homestead and go to the market. So in this post I am going to show you the farmers market.

The first thing that I want to show you is a fruit that is called Tree tomatoes. This fruit we use to make juice.

These are the pineapples that are grown here.

This fruit is called passion fruit, you may be familiar with this fruit because it grows in the United States.

This fruit is called Rambutan. It has a white film inside of it with one big seed in the middle.

This fruit is just like passion fruit it is called granadilla it has a white film with a lot of seeds inside.

This big and green fruit that you see is called guanabanana. This fruit is white with black seeds side.

This is how the chickens look like when they sell them. People like to buy chickens that are really yellow. They also leave all the inner organs inside the chicken in a bag. People like to eat them here in Ecuador.

These are the bananas that we are trying to grow on the homestead. They are smaller than the ones you find in the United States, but they are a lot sweeter.

This stand sells small carvings.

This is what the small bananas look like when they are ready to eat.

The beef here in Ecuador has a lot less fat then it has in the United States

The next thing that I want to show you is the ground cherries. We are trying to grow these on our homestead.

This fruit that you see is called Guave. It has a white film that you can eat with some big seeds, but most people do not eat the seeds.

These eggs are quail eggs. You can buy them for one dollar a package.

Here in Ecuador they sell the potatoes by the gallon. It cost about two dollars to buy one gallon of potatoes.

This type of lemon it will turn orange instead of yellow.

This is one of stands that we buy from, doesn't the produce look so fresh! they buy the produce two day before they sell it so you know that it has not been sitting around for weeks or months.

wow look at those spuds, wikipedia says potatoes are indigenous to the Andes, so I guess you're getting them straight from the source
