RE: A Visit to Mercado do Bom Sucesso, in Porto (Portugal)
This was a most wonderful post showing the difference between the new Mercado in the Old Market. Sometimes it's so hard to see the change is for the positive, because in my opinion oh, I love the old markets. They just don't make them like that anymore and everything has gotten so big and impersonal. You just cannot get any more personal than having these things grown by the people that are selling them to you and the back-and-forth conversation that you have as you're standing there discussing it. It is so different to go into a grocery store and fill up your cart with mass made things.
In saying this, there is a lot of good things about the new Mercado and place to sit and chat and be together. The young people love having places like this oh, but there will be a day when they to wish to have the markets back. Perhaps not today or even in 10 years, but when they are older and recollecting how simple and wonderful life used to be.
Don't get me wrong, I do like progress. But I also miss having a market near my house. Lol this is an awesome Market Friday post and I so much appreciate you taking the time and effort to put it together.

Thanks for appreciating my post, @dswigle!
To me, this market feels kind of wrong because there are 5 or 6 Shopping Centers right next to it... and all of them have areas to eat - all very similar to this one. 😑
