What is a Masternode, why and how to invest in it?

In the last few months, the entire crypto market is gradually falling down and many people are hopeless because of their investment losing value. In this article, I would like to introduce a fairly new opportunity to sleep better even in the bear market – get a masternode.

What is a Masternode?

Simply put, the masternode is a server on a decentralized network. It does not work alone, but always communicates with other masternodes in the network. They cause bigger privacy of transactions and allow users to vote on important decisions, send transactions instantly, etc. The amount of information on the web is more than enough. In this article I will keep it simple.

Why invest in the Masternode?

I am interested in the masternodes the whole past year and the biggest incentive for investors are the rewards for running the masternode. On the Masternodes online page, you can look at more than 300 coins allowing masternodes.

In the picture you may see how much is each coin worth, the volume of trading and how many of coins you need for running your own masternode. In practice, you buy the necessary amount of coins, you lock them in your wallet and you set up the masternode in the virtual server.

The oldest and, at the same time, the largest coin is DASH. If you want to have your MN, you need to lock at least 270 thousand dollars. You can see the price of a masternode (MN worth) and also the amount you need for running it (#required).

On the other hand, there are younger coins and you may not need even 1000 dollars. This includes ZenCash, which cannot be found on this page but I will talk about it in the next article. Or maybe Kalculus and Smart Cash coins.

So why should you invest in Masternode? Besides helping the entire network, there is a reward for you. You can find its amount on the above mentioned page in the ROI column, which indicates the return on investment in per cent per year. For example, for the masternode of ZCoin you get 27% of your initial investment back in just a year.

Just a little help. The fact that some coins offer rewards in thousands of percent does not mean that it is a super trade for you. For example, these coins may not have any liquidity – you’ll find it out from the volume column. So be careful.

Benefits may include the fact that, in addition to regular - sometimes daily – income, coins may grow in value, and the masternode, which is now worth about 1000 dollars, will cost, for example, twice as much in a year.

I like Alqo coin; here are earnings per day, week, month and year. Its acquisition requires 10,000 coins ($ 2,944.83). Annual ROI is about 90%.

Drawbacks

I see that recently there has been a huge boom in masternode, and many dishonest people are trying to get rich on this whole industry. They copy the code of one of the existing coins, change the name, quickly make a website, and then offer “new” masternode coin for sale. Of course, there are thousands of percent ROI, but without any liquidity. That’s why you should check every coin on the page Masternodes online before investing, check their twitter, discord, site, etc.

Watching Masternodes

The above mentioned site also monitors your masternodes, so you can put your masternodes in here and just watch if it runs properly, if it earns money and whether they need some adjustments. I also use monitoring of competition that sends me a mail that a reward has come to me – and it’s really a good feeling when it sends me that information. Especially when you have more Masternodes. :)
This service can be found here and it is free, just as the previous one: masternodeonline.

How to run the masternode

First of all, it is necessary to have a purchased virtual server (VPS), if you do not want to have a special computer only for cryptos running 24 hours a day. Such a server can be purchased from about 5 dollars a month. It is also necessary to have the exact number of coins needed for running the masternode. You need to have installed wallet in your VPS, mostly in Linux, and also to run it via Linux commands. The tutorials are often on the pages of particular coins, for example, Kalkulus coin explains that pretty well. For a greenhorn, it may still be complicated and confusing.

Hello. What do you think about the IQ.cash project? Good income conditions. The economy of IQCASH is organized so that 6% of the new coins are intended for the development of the network. Once a month there is a vote on how to apply the money (development fund) and everyone can submit an idea.
