It seems to me to be a sort of slack + tinder, where users aren't just there to find matches but also for other stuff.
I am myself not affiliated with the project, this was just a part of the announcement and some of my thoughts on it, if you have more concrete questions feel free to drop by their slack and ask them directly. :)
