Sane washing Trump.

It is unironically honestly an excellent campaign strategy. Trump does better when his insanity isn't being covered. His favorability has increased since leaving office since people have the memory of goldfish.

It is why my complaint with the media is the "sanewashing" of Trump. Instead of quoting Trump verbatim, they paraphrase him and downplay the behavior.

Trump's advisors want him to talk about inflation and immigration, but he can't help himself. He goes off message and rants about the 2020 election or praises Putin.
