James Allen (28 November 1864 – 24 January 1912) was a British philosophical writer known for his inspirational books and poetry and as a pioneer of the self-help movement. His best known work, As a Man Thinketh, has been mass-produced since its publication in 1903. It has been a source of inspiration to motivational and self-help authors.

Inward satisfaction is indeed what we can hope for greater.
It is a beautiful thing.
Happiness from desire is less fulfilling than being in a state of composure and equanimity. Desire is only short-lived and if anything it is a catalyst of sorrow and despondency whereas if you are in a place of tranquillity you have this pure unconditional love which cannot be bred or recreated any other way.

Yes. Our desire is so fickle.
Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction.
It is a constant concern for me in a world of cryptocurrency. I stay vigilant through meditation.
