Meet Suriname: Afobaka
Afobaka is a village in the Brokopondo District of Suriname. Between 1960 and 1964, the 1913 meter-long Afobaka Dam was built on the Suriname River, creating the Brokopondo Reservoir. This picture was taken next to the Afobaka Dam. This is our beautifull nature surrounding this dam. Here you have the view of the other side. Sideline: If you would like the image without the watermark give me a heads up.
This is a place where locals and tourist stop by to check out the view and take some pictures. Near Afobaka you lots of other places where you can swim and maybe even do a little bit of camping.
