Meetup #7 - Lion Dance + Meme + Lunch

Yesterday, @joannewong and I have a lunch date with @elizacheng at Avenue K Food Court and was later joined by @bitrocker2020, our Big Brother 😉. As it's still in the midst of Chinese New Year, we were lucky that the Lion Dance event has just only begun in Avenue K main entrance while we pass by to enter the car park behind the building.

Lion Dance Performance
Lion dance or as Chinese say 舞狮子/舞狮 is a traditional dance that performers mimic a lion's movement while under a colourful lion costume. These lion dance performances are usually found in Chinese culture and other Asian countries too.

Beside perform during the Chinese New Year or other Chinese cultural and religious festival, it may also be performed during special important occasions such as grand opening business event, wedding ceremony, or even honouring special guests by the Chinese communities. As Chinese culture believes that lion dance brings good luck and fortune.

In The Midst Of Lion Dance

Everyone from the bottom until the top is enjoying the performance, could you spot @elizacheng?

While everyone is enjoying the live performance of Lion Dance, I was told that @elizacheng has arrived and doing some video recording before meeting up with us by @joannewong through our WhatsApp group.

Instantly, I had one job which is scouting out her position and snap a picture to reply to the WhatsApp group as a funny reply but things went even funnier when it reaches to the hand of @bitrocker2020.

As a Steemians, everything is a possibility of becoming a content material and this photo did too, it instantly turned into a meme 😂 by @bitrocker2020.

Lunch

After the lion dance event, we then proceed to the Food Court to have our lunch. We arrived around 12 which most of the people who work nearby haven't yet come out for lunch so there are plenty of seats. I've ordered myself the Beef Noodle but sadly 😅 I ate finish it before even able to take a photo of it.

We have our chit-chat, laugh at the meme and some Team Malaysia updates from @bitrocker2020 (One of the updates is @firepower, @sjennon, @varunpinto & @shenoy had already arrived in KL and will be joining us for the upcoming CNY Gathering 🙌🏻)

Soon, people start to flood in the food court as it's lunchtime and we had to make a move to some coffee shop to continue our talks. We went to Starbucks and joke about how good it is if Starbucks accept STEEM as payment, that will be awesome 😆.

As @elizacheng need to go back to work, @bitrocker2020 need to go back the workshop and @joannewong has an appointment coming up, we all had to make a move and before that, you knew it! Wefie time 😬
