I flag, but it's definitely not random. There are people milking the reward pool whilst giving nothing back. They don't deserve to earn. I get some retaliation, but nothing I can't handle.
We are opening Pandora's box when it comes to flagging. I also believe that part of being a good curator is to help the community find good content and "punish" bad behaviour. How we treat the reward's pool is up to us.

I wish I could flag more stuff as there are people just spoiling things for those who want to use the platform as it was intended.
I try to never flag.
Why not? It's as valid as voting to adjust rewards.
