Zappa's Music Saved Me! Was I Even Cool Enough To Listen To His Songs? #ToiletPhotography!
Frank's music did much more, his songs pulled me back from the abyss of severe damages of "rape", stealing my innocence at very young age. Depression was not my choice. Living life and learning about forgiveness was and still is my path.
Frank Zappa, The Legend's poster is hanging finally in my toilet :) not in "Joe's Garage, Disc1)"....Click for the full album
I was and still am a HUGE fan of the great Frank Zappa and finally I got myself this poster on my last visit in Hamburg. I found the perfect spot for one of the masters of my youth.
Am I weird?
I wonder what my airbnb guests think.....hahaha ...oh well

Zappa is famous for many songs with "nonsense" lyrics, he often said that he didn't care much about them but when he applied himself to serious lyric writing, it was pure poetry, I got lost in. I asked myself many times if I was even cool enough to listen to this stuff:)
Joes' Garage, the track really captures the nostalgia for anyone who jammed and hanging out with friends in their youth. Those friends kept me alive!
True @massivevibration'sssss

Why Does It Hurt When I Pee And How to Find The Mirror Of Infinitive Magic?
Good question my beloved Frank Zappa, dream lover of my teenage rebel years! Oh well, it is a kind of silly question in some ways but don't you know those moments when not only your pee hurts ? Your whole body is in pain of all nonsense you have to deal with on a daily basis. - Mammasitta
It doesn't really matter , just keep mind open but choose well if you open your heart!
Frank Zappa Interview Collection - 1967 to 1993 (9 Hours)
Listen carefully!
Wonderful ! You always amaze me ! For those of us that grew up w/ Frank and The Mothers of Invention, we walked a different walk than others ... He was a genius.
/hugs !
In my toilet forever hahaha
what a great interview... so much truth!
Right on ! Even now! Where are those kind of people these days???
If we hold him in our hearts, we are, a part. We are them, we are him ...
It’s my 2nd article about Zappa and yes I do hold on .....
... openly persecuted? some in jail, some "suicided" I guess ;-(
My two favourite songs are Sy Borg and Catholic Girls simply because he doesn't give one single darn damn about anything but expressing himself through music. A true genius and innovator, excellent musician and composer, and vocal critic of the music industry.
RIP The Legend, Frank Vincent Zappa.
Exactly!!!! He gave a damn thing!
I wish I would have more VP left for this comment 😜
Would I be sad if I knew what VP was? Noob user. Have you watched the syborg music video? Honestly one of the most out-there video concepts.
On the other side it's worth acknowledging that throughout his career (and moreso in his final years) he was a prolific "classical" composer and there is much beauty in his more serious orchestral works that makes it difficult to associate him with the chorus, "gimme that, gimme that blow-oo-oh-oo-oh job."
A truly enigmatic character worthy of anybody's nancrush!
VP as Voting Power :) I am packing now and a bit short. On my way to visit @steemfest
Oh sweet! I just learned what VP is now (sorta).
Enjoy the fest!
Frank was a genius, and ahead of his time. One of the greatest artists we've ever had.
I only recently started listening to him, it was after watching 200 Motels and Baby snakes. I probably wouldn't have appreciated him when I was younger
Interesting! How young are you now?
43
So it took that many years to appreciate Zappa Hahha
What did you listen when you were in your 20’s ?
I started as a teen to listen to “weirdos” or 70’s funk:) even Dj’ed some vinyls.
My 20s were mostly punk/metal/hip hop and electronic
A fitting thrown, for the legend himself... ;))
Hey You! That’s the song I chose for you stranger 😝
You nailed it!
Do people like this even exist anymore...
Pinch me twice! I can’t find them....I feel lonely without those
A lot of metalheads like myself that jam out to some of the most intricate guitar solos ever have no idea that Zappa is the origin of this. I have much respect for this man!
I have so much respect that I finally gave him the well deserved spot in my toilet #spaceistheplace 🐬
Yes @mammasitta Zappa was quite the eclectic virtuoso. Can you identify the album and the song title from some of these “hints?” We used to listen to this song all the time “who could imagine”(1), “somewhere in Kansas”(1)”Suzy, Suzy Creamcheese” “My python(?)boot was to tight”(2)”He went right upside the head of my favorite baby seal””I remember doo, doo, they had a swimming pool”
What was your favorite Zappa song and/or album?
SDG
Hahaha hey I am in bed on my phone but Let’s go
Very nice, and he was only 36 years old at that time.
Test of posting capabilities of my iPad. Please ignore. I received a posting error and was wondering if I’d been compromised.
These songs from back in the days has a way of harmonising the spirit of music in one's heart. Thanks for sharing my friend .
I am surprised that you know and even like Zappa wow!
Haha... what can a music lover do. Although I do not know him so well but for tge love of music its god that I listen to his work too.
💃💃💃 dance more dancing
music can save a lot of people but mostly kills the musicians
