Mermaid Monday Contest the winners of #26 & Mermaid Monday Contest week 27!
🧜♀️🐠 Greetings Steemit Friends! Here’s my entry for this weeks “Mermaid Monday Contest The Winners Of #26 & Mermaid Monday Contest Week # 27 - Theme : Mermaid Chronicles And The Sailor / Pirate Adventures.”🧜♀️🐟
Very early in the morning, after a mighty storm the night before, a sailor set out to walk along the beach, to investigate the damage left by the storms strong winds, and heavy downpour. There were a few uprooted trees, lots of debris, and several dead fish along the shoreline. The sailor was stationed here in Hawaii, he was wearing his uniform because he had to board his ship in just a few hours.
He spotted something strange off in the distance, it looked like a person was clinging to some rocks offshore. The sailor ran quickly towards the rocks and into the ocean he plunged. As he swam closer to the person on the rocks, he noticed it was a woman, why was she out here last night, there was plenty of warnings to take cover before the storm arrived? The current was still strong, as he fought against it, he could here her low moans now, as he watched her slowly starting to slip away from the rocks, the sailor yelled “ hang on... I’m coming to save you, I’m almost there!” She looked up as he grabbed her around her neck, by his forearm, in order to keep her head from out of the water, so she wouldn’t drown.
As he swam with her, as fast as he could, closer to shore, he noticed the weight of her body as he pulled her along, it seemed very heavy and awkward. finally he could stand up in the water, it was a little over waist high, and he could lift her up in his arms now, and bring her to shore, thank God, he noticed she was breathing. As he grabbed under her legs to lift her up closer to his chest, he gasped... she had know legs at all... she had fins!
